This release: ownership-aware routing, deploy-window suppression, and per-team escalation defaults.

We shipped the routing changes our own on-call asked for. Highlights from this release:

Ownership-aware routing

Pages now resolve the failing service to its owning team automatically from your service catalog.

Deploy-window suppression

Alerts during an active deploy window are held and auto-resolved if the deploy stabilizes.

Per-team escalation defaults

Every team now inherits sensible escalation timings from its parent group and can override them without touching anyone else's. New services stop being paging black holes on day one — they escalate the way their team already does.

Upgrade notes

  • Existing routing rules are preserved; ownership resolution runs only when no explicit rule matches.
  • Deploy-window suppression is opt-in per service — enable it under Service → Alerting.
  • No action needed for on-call schedules; they are unchanged by this release.
